ACT ONE Scene 1

Begins with a massive 7.0 earthquake in Costa Rica, Blinky is still in her shell the earth opens up and gobbles Blinky, she falls through the cracks of the earth, going down, down, deep into the crevasse. She hits an undersea volcano off the shores of Nicaragua, her eggshell cracks breaks open she climbs out, and finds herself in the Caribbean Sea all alone

As Blinky surfaces to the top of the ocean, she is multicolored, not just a green sea turtle anymore.
Now off the shores of Nicaragua 100 of kilometers away from home, she must find her way back home.
Blinky never hatched on land like her siblings and fellow green sea turtles.
Which had to scramble to the sea, so not to be eaten by seagulls, wild dogs, mice, and other predators.

Those baby sea turtles that did make it to the ocean, knew where they came from and
could return to where they were hatched. However, Blinky could not. She was lost and frightened.

Since Blinky never hatched on land her magnetic field never developed she could not return
to her place of her birth. Which female turtles do 25 years or more later to hatch their own offspring.

Blinky was born in the open sea. She never knew where her true home was. Like a compass
knows True North.
Or Maybe because she did not swim with her friends to the sea from Tortuguero, she
did not know where home base was.

Tortuguero is on the shore of Costa Rica where many Green Sea Turtles and Loggerheads drop their eggs and where these turtles are born and swim to the sea very frantically.

Who knows, anyways she was lost at sea.
